Camper and Loreak Mendian, a common project for this season

Basque street wear brand Loreak Mendian and Majorcan casual footwear manufacturers Camper have joined efforts and created a mini-collection of shoes for the summer of 2009… and a logo. Two ancient cultures get together with a common purpose – create a shoe.

¿The result? A basic shoe for the summer time, somewhere between the Nautica shoe and the Indian moccasin. An ankle boot for the ladies, a shoe and an ankle boot for the guys, all of them made of leather and rubber, which makes them light and flexible. They come in three colours to choose from: white, grey and black. The shoe has been hand sewn and employs the traditional technique of the Native Americans, which consists in protecting the foot with leather underneath.

And also, one common logo symbolizing the fusion of two lands. Green represents the Basque origins of Loreak Mendian – and blue symbolizes the Mediterranean Sea home of Camper. Two cultures, two passions, only one product!

The logo comes printed in the insole of each shoe. The right shoe shows Loreak Mendian’s logo and the left shoe shows Camper’s logo, both subtly printed in colours matching with the logo. The blue and green colours that symbolize this joint venture make a shy reappearance in one of the eyelet straps; green on the left one and blue on the right one.

Don’t miss out this limited edition; it will be waiting for you not only in the e-shop but also in these Camper and Loreak Mendian stores.
